Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Delicious teishoku (meal set) with grilled mackerel! The salmon sashimi melted in my mouth; so good! The miso soup was original; I could detect the faint scent of konbu. I got grilled shishito peppers and shiitake, and they were delicious. I also ordered extra squid kara-age (tako-age?) and it was very crunchy as well. On top of that, the service was excellent and the atmosphere great. Highly recommended! Next time coming here, I will order the sushi set. If the sashimi is this good, the sushi must be amazing!"
"A reason for us to have authentic Japanese everytime we're in Dusseldorf. Food is delicious, perfect grilled mackerel and the fish on the sushi was of high quality! Service is quick and friendly and set menu prices are good value for the quality of food."
"Authentic and delicious Japanese food in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Little Tokyo. The quality of the dishes was impressive — fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Definitely a great spot if you're looking for a true Japanese dining experience. That said, the prices are on the higher side, so it's more of a place for occasional treats rather than everyday meals. Also, the service could be improved. The staff seemed a bit inattentive and not very welcoming, which was a bit disappointing considering the overall atmosphere of the place. Still, if you're coming mainly for the food, it's worth a visit!"
"What a great place! Amazing food - from the grilled dishes to the sushi to the dessert - I had such a good time. Travelling for work, wanted something interesting, and was not disappointed! The azuki red bean paste ice cream was a real hit. Special shout out to my amazing server, who made sure that everything I ordered was gluten free and even provided gluten free soy sauce AND teriyaki marinade. She took things from great to incredible. Fully recommended."
"A fantastic find! We were seated immediately for Sunday lunch. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and the restaurant has a cozy vibe. Everything we ate was delicious, but the grilled eel was easily the highlight of the meal. No complaints at all—highly recommended!"
"Really enjoyed the food here. The seared tuna was fresh and nicely cooked, with a good balance of flavors. The ramen broth was rich without being too heavy, and the noodles and toppings were spot on. The katsu curry rice was comforting and filling, especially the crispy cutlet with smooth curry sauce. Everything felt well prepared and satisfying. Would happily come back for another meal."
"Excellent and affordable Japanese food. Very difficult to get hold of the team on the phone, but they do allow walk-ins with a 30 minute wait. There's a reason it's so hard to get a table"
"The food was excellent, the staff very polite. We were lucky enough to be able to walk in without reservation, but had a shorter timeslot because of this. We were informed beforehand and had plenty of time to eat. I had a tonkatsu curry, which was an amazing comfort dish. The eel was amazing too!"
